97.9 THE LOOP WLUP-FM, CHICAGO’S ROCK STATION, KICKS-OFF A MULTI-TIERED REALITY ROCK RADIO CAMPAIGN SEARCHING FOR ONE CHICAGO WOMAN TO REPRESENT THE LOOP!
Over the past 28 years of 97.9 The Loop’s existence, beautiful women have been part of the Loop’s heritage. They have walked the halls of the radio station, been a part of the advertising and promotions and have been heard live on the air waves! It’s time to find a new woman to continue that tradition. The Loop is proud to announce Chicago’s biggest reality rock radio promotion ever; the $50,000 Loop Rock Girl Search 2005!
One Chicagoland woman will be crowned as The Loop Rock Girl and for one year she will talk the talk and walk the walk of the rock lifestyle in Chicago. She’ll start off with a handsome $50,000 salary and her job duties will include becoming part of the on-air sound of the Loop, host The Loop’s website WLUP.COM, attending high profile events and concerts, and most importantly meeting and hanging out with The Loop’s listeners!
The $50,000 Loop Rock Girl Search kicks off in March with three live public casting calls! In addition to a massive on air campaign, the Loop has partnered with Comcast to develop a custom 30 second television commercial that will draw Chicagoland women to apply for the job at one of these casting calls. Comcast will also create special programming that chronicles the search for the Loop Rock Girl and will be available to Comcast subscribers through their new Video-on-demand service in a special Loop section.
