About the new season
The new season started September 13th. The house has moved from Chicago to Los Angeles (Hollywood Hills area).
Here's more:
"Starting Over" is, well, starting over — and has added former talk show host Iyanla Vanzant as a "life coach" for the show's move to L.A. this season.
Vanzant, who hosted "Iyanla" for Buena Vista back in 2001, joins Rhonda Britten as the life coaches for the second season. Rana Walker was the other life coach last season, when "Starting Over" unfolded here in New York on Ch. 4.
Also new to the "Starting Over" team this season is Stan Katz, a Ph.D. who's got over 25 years of experience as a clinical/forensic psychologist and has co-authored several self-help books about relationships and abuse.
He'll be a regular presence in the house, helping the six "Starting Over" women — Josie, 21; Towanda, 30; Sinae, 18; Jennifer, 21; Deborah, 46; and Kim, 46. They beat out over 3,000 women who auditioned for season #2. The new season of "Starting Over" premieres Sept. 13.
