Starting Over Recaps: September 24 2003 Episode
The show starts with a group session. Nyanza says that Eric doesn't realize that
she's in love with him. There is a huge argument about the last group meeting with Andy. Maureen tries to say somethng and Cassie jumps down her throat. Cassie says she's two faced. Maureen says that the whole house was offended by Andy the first day but that later she changed her mind.
Maureen yells at Nyanza for saying that she doesn't bathe. She says 'fuck you'. Maureen says she was offended by what Nyanza says. Nyanza says that she's never heard Maureen taking a bath. Rhonda has to calm everyone down.
Maureen later has a one on one conversation with Rhonda and vents her frustration towards Nyanza.
Andy asks Cassie and Christine if they can come to the beauty boot camp.
Maureen says because she doesn't leave a trail when she bathes it doesn't mean
that she doesn't. Maureen says that she didn't appreciate the fact that people
spent a week talking about it instead of bringing it to her. Cassie says she
would not have been so offended had she been bathing.
Rhonda takes Lori to an art gallery so that she can figure out what artist she
wants to be. Lori picks a painting that she likes because she says it represents
the shadow of death and then resurrection etc.
Andy gets a bouquet that looks like her wedding bouquet from her husband. She calls and says she loves him
Nyazna and Eric go out to dinner. She says he gets to see her be authentic all day.
Maureen apologizes to Andy for joining with the group in bashing her. She helps Andy
make some food for the beauty boot camp.
At dinner with Nyanza and Erik, she complains about everything. She says that if she
doesn't like it she wants to go elsewhere. She does not like the miso soup and she
finally complains so much that they leave. She makes him walk around the city to
find a restaurant that she likes. One place they want to go, its closed. Then they
get in a cab to go to 'Domain' but Nyanza doesn't see anyone sitting outside
so they go to 'Jillys'. The cab ride is $50 and Nyanza says not to tip the driver.
Overall, they've been through 5 restaurants before they found one that Nyanza likes.
Lori explains her painting to Andy just before the beauty boot camp.
Andy asks Cassie if she feels special that she's making food for the beauty boot camp.
Andy's cousin comes to the party. Andy advise the women on foundations and helps
Maureen select a fragrance. She tells them to never share their mascara because
microbes grow in their lashes.
Andy talks about her past career as a full figured model. She says that when she's at a casting call, she feels uncomfortable because she's the heaviest one there.
Next, previews for the next episode are shown, Cassie serves lunch to the etiquette lady. Nyanza gets pressured to be more authentic but says she doesn't have to answer to anyone but God. Nyanza, Christine and Cassie want to change the bedroom assignments, but Maureen doesn't.
