Starting Over September 24 Recap
Nyanza is giving away another suit. She says she'll be a good role model because she believe that you can really dress for success. She says that sharing her time is making her feel more authentic.
Nyanza volunteers at the Bottomless Closet, a charity for disadvantaged women needing professional clothing. She helps a person pick out an outfit for an interview.
Andy tells Lori that her sister murdered her boyfriend (who had two children) and then killed herself. Andy went through an assualt when she was 16 where a guy forced his way into her car and drove her to a secluded spot. She says thats why she got fat.
Nyanza talks about James. She says he tried to talk her out of her relationship with Eric.
Rana makes all the women exercise. They kick box outside at a park. Christine, Cassie, and Nyanza all run together in a group. Andy runs alone.
Andy talks to her husband. She tells him that the plasma screen says that she's going to be a commander in the beauty boot camp.
Later, Rhonda and Andy talk. Rhonda tells her when people say something negative
to her she needs to understand that they just want more information about her. She also shouldn't take it personally. Andy says that she felt mowed over by Christine; Rhonda says that Christine's actions were just a reflection of her own fear.
Maureen has a joke writing session. She invites over several comedians.
Andy invites Lori to the beauty boot camp. Later she asks Nyanza if she'd like have someone from the Bottomless Closet to the beauty boot camp. Nyanza says no and also mentions that she will be off at a dinner cruise with Eric.
At Maureen's joke writing session she gets ideas from other comics. She is told that she needs to be improv funny and to think on her feet.
Andy wanders about getting ready for the boot camp. She invites her cousin, and recruits more people.
Cassie, Christine and Nyanza plan a night out on the town. She is going out with Eric first then she will come back for Cassie and Christine. Nyanza is very late coming back to get the girls. She is one hour late. When she gets there, she has to change clothes. By the time she is ready, Christine and Cassie only have one hour left on their curfew, however, Nyanza's curfew is extended because her boyfriend is in town. Christine says she is not sure if Nyanza wants to be authentic all the time.
